Truck World will be marking National Trucking Week by honoring the men and women who keep the freight moving on Saturday, Sept. 28, with free entertainment, special events and giveaways.

National Trucking Week is a time set aside each year to spotlight the important contributions made by the 400,000 Canadian men and women who keep the country's freight moving. It is also an opportunity to raise community awareness of the vital contributions made by the trucking industry to the economy and Canadian's quality of life.

This year's National Trucking Week takes place from Sept. 22-29. The industry's national trade show, Truck World, is held during the same week.

Truck World will mark the special week by holding National Trucking Week Appreciation/Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, with an entire day of special events for the whole family. Visitors will be able to enjoy live musical entertainment, celebrity impersonators, free giveaways, children's entertainers and other special events.

Hundreds of exhibitors will display on more than 400,000 square feet of show floor space. Admission to the show is $10 ($15 on-site at the show). Children under 16 are admitted free. The event boasts thousands of acres of free truck and car parking.

The show also features the Dupont Show and Shine Competition where the most beautiful and powerful big rigs from Canada and the Northern United States compete for cash prizes and trophies. For information or registration, visit, or call toll-free 1-877-682-7469.
