28th Street curve has prompted PennDOT to promise further improvement
there. The announcement follows a legislator's stern letter
calling for a less treacherous curve.

Donatucci recently sent a letter to the state's transportation
secretary asking the agency to do more for safety there.
PennDOT says a truck tipping sign will be posted at the curve
as well as a 45-mph speed advisory. Previous improvements included
restriping the University Avenue on-ramp to allow only one lane
to merge onto the expressway.
