How would you like to have a TA or Petro named after you? TravelCenters of America has launched its “Citizen Driver” award program. Among other recognition and honors, winners will have a TA or Petro location named after them.
TravelCenters President and CEO Tom O’Brien says nominees will be judged on factors including “exemplary citizenship in the driving community and otherwise, community involvement, leadership in their personal or professional lives, and healthy lifestyle.”
The Citizen Driver award program was first introduced by TravelCenters in March. The award web site is now available to accept professional driver nominations. Anyone – fleet owners, executives, co-workers, friends, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, trucking organization members, trucking industry suppliers – may nominate a professional driver for the award. Nomination forms can be found at www.ta-petro.com/citizendriveraward.
Nominations will be accepted to Nov. 30, 2013. All of the prizes for finalists and grand prize winners can be found on the Citizen Driver web pages. Winners of the Citizen Driver award will be honored at a special event at the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY.
