A former employee is under arrest after a man walked into the West Chester, OH, office of Watkins Motor Lines and shot five people, according to news reports.
Tom West, 50, who was last employed by Watkins in 2001, was arrested at 12:30 EST, WCPO-TV reported. The shooting occurred earlier the same day, Nov. 6.
The news reports said a man entered the company’s office this morning and used two handguns in the shooting. Two of the victims died, one at the scene and one later at a nearby hospital. The other three victims were seriously injured, media reports said. The names of the victims are not yet available.
Police say a 50-year-old man left the scene of the shooting driving a white panel van with no front windows, according to WLWT Eyewitness News 5 and ChannelCincinnati.com.
WCPO reported that West was captured in Versailles, IN, by Indiana State Police. Versailles is roughly 60 miles from West Chester.
