BREAKING NEWS: Missouri CDL investigation yields 15 indictments

Sept. 21, 2006 - In order to be certified a truck driver, they were given a test, often with a helper or translator standing by with the answer, and then had to demonstrate they could drive forward, backward or use a turn signal. This was how more than 70 Somali and Bosnian nationals began new careers as truckers, careers that are now likely short-lived.

After months of investigating the South Central Career Center Truck Driving School in West Plains, MO, authorities have announced that 15 individuals have been indicted for their involvement in a fraudulent CDL scheme.

Bradley Schlozman, U.S Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, gave details Thursday afternoon at FBI headquarters in Kansas City, MO. "Land Line Now" staff reporter Reed Black was there.
