OOIDA has announced that Collin Long has joined OOIDA's Washington, D.C., office as director of legislative affairs. He will be sharing responsibility for advancing the Association's government affairs agenda.

He is originally from Allentown, Pa., and graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in international relations.

He began his career in Washington as a staffer for U.S. Representative Charlie Dent, R-Pa. He subsequently served as senior director of government affairs for the Portland Cement Association, representing America's cement manufacturers on Capitol Hill. During his time in D.C., Long has worked on a variety of transportation issues.

"Collin has a thorough knowledge of the transportation industry, along with a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process," said OOIDA Director of Government Affairs Laura O'Neill-Kaumo. "He is a tremendous addition to our D.C. staff."

O'Neill-Kaumo leads OOIDA's government affairs team in D.C. In addition to Long, her staff includes Manager of Federal Affairs Jay Grimes.

OOIDA's government affairs staff also includes Director of State Legislative Affairs Mike Matousek, and Director of Regulatory Affairs Scott Grenerth. Matousek and Grenerth are based at OOIDA headquarters in Grain Valley, Mo. Both of the Association's government affairs teams, in D.C. and in Grain Valley, are directed by OOIDA Executive Vice President Todd Spencer. LL
