O'Neill-Kaumo returns to helm of OOIDA D.C. office

Laura O'Neill-Kaumo has returned to the Association's Washington D.C. office as director of government affairs/counsel. On Sept. 1, she resumed her position leading the Association's lobbying staff as they pursue efforts on behalf of OOIDA members regarding all regulatory and legislative issues.

O'Neill-Kaumo previously worked at OOIDA from 2007 to 2013 helping the Association advance broker reform, highway safety and issues impacting driver compensation. Since 2013, she has served as an adviser and independent consultant to the Association.

She earned a B.A. at Eastern Michigan University with a major in political science and minor in sociology. She also earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, School of Law and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Her diverse background includes working as staff counsel for the Boston Red Sox, serving as an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, and acting as an adviser on numerous federal campaigns.

Her return to OOIDA comes after the departure of Ryan Bowley, former OOIDA director of government affairs, who recently relocated to Texas. LL
