OOIDA Board of Directors' Commendation to the OOIDA Truckers for Troops Campaign

Whereas, OOIDA members and the Association have raised over $229,885 to send care packages to over 22,500 servicemen and women in combat zones for the Truckers for Troops Campaign since its inception in 2007;

Whereas, Mike Schermoly, the Marketing Department, Sandi Soendker and the staff of Land Line Magazine promote and advertise Truckers for Troops each year;

Whereas, Mark Reddig and the Land Line Now team put in many hours preparing for and conducting the Truckers for Troops telethon each year;

Whereas, Sylvia Dodson, the entire Membership Department, Diane Halsey and the Switchboard, answer phone calls, sign up members, answer questions and take donations each year;

Whereas, Nikki Johnson orders supplies for the boxes, organizes the packing days and schedules the volunteers for the packing;

Whereas, Brad Hennon and the Shipping Department help move supplies, pack and send boxes;

Whereas, many employees donate their time during the campaign to answer calls, pack boxes, pick up supplies and generally do whatever is needed to make the campaign a success;

Whereas, the generous members of OOIDA support the effort with enthusiasm each and every year;

Now Therefore Be It Resolved, the OOIDA Board of Directors heartily commend all of the above individuals on their hard work in making the OOIDA Truckers for Troops a complete success each year.
