John Anderson and The Grascals
The Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville is proud to host country music legend John Anderson and award winning bluegrass band The Grascals, presented in concert by Mobil Delvac at the 2010 show this March 25-27. The concert will be held on-site in Freedom Hall following the Friday edition of the show. Complimentary tickets will be distributed, while supplies last, from Mobil Delvac’s Booth (No. 18160 in the North Wing).
Blockbuster beauty contest predicted
MATS again will feature the 20th annual Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship as one of the show’s big headliners. Show trucks can check in March 23-24. Look for Lot J on the west side of the complex. Preregistration guarantees show truck entrants their spot in the show. Space is limited. Also, the Big Rig Build-Off competition is back.
NAST kicks off 2010 show schedule
The National Association of Show Trucks will launch its 2010 show schedule at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY. Look for NAST at Booth No. 91450.
For the health of it
The Health Awareness Walk is the first-of-its-kind fitness event to be held in the trucking industry. Interested drivers are invited to join their fellow drivers, along with Bob Perry, “The Trucker Trainer,” on a 1.5 mile walk at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 26.
There is no cost, but registration is required. Walkers can register online at driverhealth.org and can also register beginning at 7 a.m. March 26, but must be registered by 7:30 a.m.
‘Back on the Road’
One more former trucker will have a dream come true this year at MATS when Arrow Truck Sales announces the winner of its third “Back on the Road” program. Country music star Aaron Tippin and Sirius XM radio personality Dave Nemo will be making the announcement.
