DESTINATION: Mid-America Trucking Show
Getting ready to go to MATS? Here’s what you need to know

Show Information
The 34th Annual Mid-America Trucking Show will be March 31 to April 2 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, KY.
The 2005 show will encompass 1 million square feet of exhibit space with more than 1,000 businesses and organizations exhibiting. A wide variety of equipment and services will be on display.
Show hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m. March 31; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 1; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 2.

Registration
Visit the Mid-America Trucking Show on-line registration center – truckingshow.com – for free admission into the show. 
Attendees registering before Feb. 28 will be mailed badges in early March. Those attendees who register on the Internet after Feb. 28 will have to print out the registration confirmation page and take it to the show to receive complimentary admission. Online registration will be open until March 14.

Truck parking
MATS has 26 acres of parking available for big trucks and RVs.
Lots G and K are on-site truck parking. Lot K can accommodate overnight truck parking at $20 per night with no hook-ups. Lot L is for RV parking with hook-ups available for $35 per night. For information or reservations call: (502)-367-5384. 
Additional truck parking is available at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Shuttles will be available to take attendees to and from the show. 
Free refreshments will be provided at the stadium.

Lodging
The show’s management has negotiated special rates with local hotels for the 2005 Mid-America Trucking Show. Rooms can be reserved by visiting the online reservations center at truckingshow.com or by calling 1-800-743-3100 or (502) 561-3100 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations can be modified or canceled by calling the same number. To make reservations for five or more rooms, call Maria Martin at (502) 560-0003.

Special events
The Fifth Annual Paul K. Young Truck Beauty Championship, a “Stars & Stripes Event.”
The Mid-America Trucking Technology Center will feature Internet- and technology-based companies.
Trucking-oriented seminars will provide information for companies, fleets and individuals. All seminars will be in the South Wing Conference Center Room 101. Seminars are free and do not require advanced registration.
