It’s March and (with any luck at all) the weather is starting to improve, fuel prices are down, and freight rates are up. Or maybe not. There is one thing about March you can always count on – March brings the biggest show in trucking, the Mid-America Trucking Show.
From the 22nd to the 24th (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) thousands of truckers will flock to the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in the heart of bluegrass country, Louisville, KY. These truckers will see every imaginable product and service the industry has to offer. Grab a bag full of giveaways, be entertained at free concerts, whistle through your teeth over incredibly beautiful show trucks and meet celebrities.
Speaking of celebrities, those truckers visiting the OOIDA booth will meet the association’s legal team from the Cullen Law firm in Washington, DC. Truckers stopping by the Kenworth booth might meet Lucky Vanous and Lisa Thornhill, stars of TNN’s “18 Wheels of Justice.” Trucking’s Midnight Cowboy, Bill Mack, will host an autograph session with the Bellamy Brothers at the WBAP booth in the show lobby on Thursday and a special appearance by Aaron Tippin on Friday. Freightliner will host Creedence Clearwater Revisited in concert on Thursday night.
Exhibitors will be showing off the newest in products and services in booths covering more than a million square feet of exhibit space. We have a few previews of what you might find on the exhibit floor. Want to see more? Put on your most comfortable pair of cowboy boots and join us in Louisville.
