RoadStar Radio shows quick growth after launch

Since its January launch, Newport Communications' RoadStar Radio News has grown to include two of the nation's most popular overnight trucking radio programs. Written and anchored by veteran trucking journalist, Evan Lockridge, and backed by an experienced staff of Newport editors, RoadStar Radio News is carried by the Truckin' Bozo Radio Network and the Interstate Radio Network every Monday through Friday.

Truck radio show host, Dale Sommers, a.k.a. "The Trucking Bozo," was the first to carry RoadStar Radio News. Bozo features RoadStar Radio News on nine radio stations including WLW-AM 700 in Cincinnati. In March, the Interstate Radio Network and Marcia Campbell signed aboard with RoadStar Radio News. They bring more stations than any other overnight trucking show with 20 in all, including WSM-AM 650, Nashville, the "Home of the Grand Ole Opry."

RoadStar Radio News can be heard on the Truckin' Bozo Radio Network at 1:20 a.m., 2:20 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. Eastern Time and on Interstate Radio Network at 2:20 a.m. Central Standard Time. Listeners can also catchRoadStar Radio News the day after it airs by logging onto http://www.roadstaronline.com.
