“A Mistress Called the Road”
Silver award for Morgan's documentary:

Video Production Associates, a Prescott, AZ, company, was honored at the WorldFest Film Festival awards dinner in Flagstaff on Nov. 21. Producer/director Mike D. Morgan accepted the Silver Award for the documentary "A Mistress Called the Road" in the Independent Video/Film and Video Production category. Morgan is also a trucker and a trucking journalist.

The film's sponsors are Shell and Ford. The project was co-sponsored by OOIDA.

Houston-based WorldFest is the oldest independent film and video festival in the country and has presented awards to such luminaries as Steven Spielberg, Oliver Stone, the Coen Brothers and Robert Townsend. This is the third time in the past two years that Video Production Associates has won a major award for video productions specifically produced either for the trucking industry, or aimed at informing the general public about the trucking industry. The company also won a Finalist Award for Advertising & Promotion/Film and Video Production for a marketing piece called "Three World Records." The film was produced for Inter-Cal Corp.

While truckers are not likely to find this film featured at the local theatre, for $20 you can have it mailed express to your home.
