Texas Legislature's vote on Trans-Texas Corridor from 2003

Many OOIDA members have inquired with the Association and Land Line Magazine about who the lawmakers were in the Texas Legislature during the 2003 regular session when Gov. Rick Perry's plan - HB3588 - for the Trans-Texas Corridor was overwhelmingly approved.

The corridor is an intermodal route that would cut across Texas from the Mexican border to Oklahoma and include toll lanes. The private team Cintra/Zachry is planning part of the project. Cintra is based in Spain and Zachry is based in San Antonio.

In an effort to assist OOIDA members to identify those legislators who offered their support for the plan, we have included a copy of the vote tally for the House and Senate. (See list below.)

In addition, you can check to see who the candidates are for the November general elections in Texas by visiting http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/2006gensby.htm.
