The 35th Annual Mid-America Trucking Show will be March 23-25 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, KY. It would be an understatement to say it's a big show. It's a monster.
The 2006 show will encompass 1 million square feet of exhibit space with more than 1,000 businesses and organizations exhibiting. General admission is 1 to 6 p.m., March 23; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 24; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 25.

How much are tickets?
Nothing, if you handle things right. Online pre-registration at
truckingshow.com lasts until March 8, but if you register online after Feb. 22,
remember to print and bring your registration page to the show for the
complimentary admission.
Or there's a full-page ad in this issue of Land Line on Page 127. Tear it out and use it for free admission, but you'll still have to wait in line to get your badge made up.
If you don't pre-register and don't have a coupon, it will cost you $5 to get into the show.
Where and how do you get the tickets to the concert?
The concerts are free and sponsored by Kenworth. Complimentary concert
tickets will be available to CDL holders only - limit of two tickets per
person. Tickets, while supplies last, will be distributed in the South Hall
Lobby, Booth No. 2 on both Thursday, March 23, starting at 1 p.m., and again on
Friday, March 24, starting at 10 a.m.
Where can I park my truck?
The Mid-America Trucking Show has 26 acres of parking available to
trucks and RVs.
Lots G and K are for on-site truck parking. Lot K can accommodate overnight trucks without hook-ups for $20 per night. Lot L is for RV parking with hook-ups available, $45 per night. For information or reservations, call (502)-367-5384.
Additional truck parking is available at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Shuttles will be available to take attendees to and from the show.
Free refreshments will be provided at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
If I need a motel, can I get one at the last minute?
The nearest hotels, motels and even bed and breakfasts are usually
booked up six months in advance. Many experienced attendees make their
reservations for the next year's show when they check out. If you don't have
reservations now, you may have to stay an hour or so away. If you plan to
return in 2007, stop in at an area motel right after the show ends.
For help making reservations (from Super 8 to higher rate rooms) visit the online reservations center at truckingshow.com or call 1-800-743-3100 or (502) 561-3100 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
Reservations can be modified or cancelled by calling the same number. To make reservations for five or more rooms, call Amy Usher at (502) 899-3892.
